Meet Our team

Michael Gallagher


CEO

Mike Gallagher joins our team as the founding CEO. Mike brings with him a career filled with many diverse and rewarding roles that have positioned him with the ability to successfully lead Advanced Modular Power Systems. Most recently, Mike was a member of the initial Executive Leadership Team and served as Executive Vice President and COO of APTIM, a private equity-backed international service provider. Prior to APTIM, Mike held several executive leadership positions at Sempra in both the regulated and non-regulated businesses. Prior to Sempra, Mike was co-owner and Managing Partner of Sterling Energy Operations, a full-service international energy M&A and Operating Services company. Mike worked in Power Plant Management at Duke Energy in both their Nuclear and Fossil Business in the US and overseas. Mike holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and proudly served in the US Navy on the Nuclear Submarine USS Batfish after completing the Naval Nuclear Power Program.

Ramtin Rasoulinezhad


Chief technology Officer

Ramtin Rasoulinezhad is our Chief Technology Officer and a charter member of our Advisory Board. He is a seasoned leader with diverse experience in executive roles within electrical and energy sectors. He specializes in clean technologies across utilities, oil and gas, and the marine industry. With a focus on product and business development spanning conventional and renewable energies, plus energy storage systems, Ramtin has overseen the transition of multiple technology projects from concept to manufacturing. His talent lies in assembling teams to align solutions with business needs, devising strategies for integrated technology adoption, and driving decarbonization, efficiency, and safety. Ramtin holds dual MSc degrees in Power Systems and Power Electronics, plus a PhD centered on hybrid distributed energy resources for emission reduction. Recognized as a Canada’s Clean50 Emerging Leader and Forty under 40 awardee by Business In Vancouver, Ramtin stands as a distinguished contributor to clean technology advancement.

IAN MCCLAY


VP OF EUROPE, AFRICA & THE MIDDLE EAST

Ian McClay joins the team as our Vice President of Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Ian brings 29 years of engineering, sales and aftermarket experience in these regions, specifically related to diesel generator packages that are deployed in harsh service environments. Based in the Middle East for the past 11 years, Ian’s experience with technical, commercial and project related issues specific to multi-cultural and multi-discipline teams makes him uniquely qualified for our enterprise and customers. Ian received his BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester.

William Crosby


Chief Operating Officer

William Crosby is our Chief Operating Officer. William held this role at his previous company and led the efforts for the deployment of key initiatives and growth launchpads across energy and global commerce sectors. He also served as Senior Director of Strategic Projects and Business Development at APTIM, pursuing multi-billion-dollar commercial opportunities in the power and transportation industries. In prior roles at AECOM and Sempra, William worked with clients tied to port infrastructure and energy projects and led Sempra’s commercial facing business for developing mid-scale LNG facilities in North America and the Caribbean markets. He also focused on developing infrastructure with global energy companies for the methanol and natural gas liquids markets. While at the Georgia Port Authority, William became recognized as an expert in port planning and economic development. William has worked with many Fortune 500 companies, developers and transportation companies to build and expand manufacturing plants, terminals and distribution centers tied to global commerce.

Larry Hartman


Chief Financial Officer

Larry Hartman joins our team as CFO and is responsible for managing financials and budget, with oversite of accounting, transactions, fundraising efforts and capital financing. Larry has extensive experience (15 plus years) in the oil and gas upstream sector helping companies with raising capital and market growth. He has a BS in Petroleum Engineering, Economics & Business from Colorado School of Mines and a MBA from Harvard Business School.

Matthew Chin


Executive Advisor

Matthew Chin has joined our executive advisory team and brings AMPS a wealth of knowledge about how to bring new power generation technologies to market as well as first hand experience on how to build and manage rapidly growing equipment supply and service businesses. Matthew is a highly experienced global executive with over 30 years experience in the Energy sector with Westinghouse, Siemens AG and Siemens Energy. Matthew has managed large global equipment supply businesses, operating in both the mature conventional power generation markets, as well as renewable energy businesses operating in markets experiencing explosive growth. 

Simon Daman Willems


Advisory Board

Simon Daman Willems is a founding member of our Advisory Board. Simon’s contributions to AMPS have been critical in guiding the refinements that were necessary to structure and complete our path to market. Simon brings unmatched experience to the team, this Company and our mission. Simon held the highest offices as an executive at Shell and over the course of his 37-year career he worked and lived in some of the most challenging operating environments in the world across America, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. His last role was as Chief Executive of the Basrah Gas Company Joint Venture in Iraq, one of the largest gas flare recovery projects in the world. Simon also served as Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Iraq for 3 years, with unparalleled contacts to senior government. Simon holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and Energy Studies, is a British Chartered Engineer and was elected a Fellow of the UK Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

Joseph A. Stanislaw


Executive Advisor

Joseph A. Stanislaw, an Executive Advisor, is founder of The JAStanislaw Group, LLC, an advisory firm specializing in strategic thinking, sustainability, and environmentally sound investment in energy and technology. Joe was one of three founders of Cambridge Energy Research Associates in 1983 and served as managing director for all non-U.S. activity until 1997 when he was named president and later chief executive officer. After the CERA partners sold their interests in the company, Joe served as the Independent Senior Advisory for Energy and Sustainability to Deloitte, a position he held until 2017.  Since that time, Joe has worked with several private equity firms, advising them on their investments in the new energy economy as well as pursuing his own business leadership, investment, and charitable activities. Earlier in his career, Joe was the Senior Economist at the International Energy Agency in Paris. 

Joe is an adjunct professor in the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University. He is the co-author of The Economics of Energy: Growth, Resources, and Policies (1981) and The Commanding Heights: The Battle for the World Economy (1998) which has been translated into 13 languages and made into a six-hour documentary on PBS. He is also the author or co-author of numerous reports and published papers on the future of the world economy, geopolitics, and energy. He received a BA, cum laude, from Harvard College, a PhD in Economics from the University of Edinburgh, and was awarded an MA from the University of Cambridge when he was elected a Research Fellow of Clare Hall. He is one of a select group to have been awarded an Honorary Doctorate and Professorship from the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.
